Today’s Good News: Dolly Parton Donates 200k Books To Kids

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has provided thousands of books to kids in Flint, Michigan. Since it started in 2017, more than 200-thousand books have been sent. The program mails enrolled kids a book every month from birth to their fifth birthday. Source: M Live

Daisy Hampton is only 12, but she’s already started a nonprofit, “Including You,” and a fundraiser to get laptops to kids in need. Her GoFundMe page, #KidsNeedConnection, has raised more than $15-thousand so far. Through those donations, Daisy has been able to donate 200 laptops to students since the start of the pandemic. A Jamestown, Rhode Island, teen’s act of kindness has grown into a community project to help make sure kids in need have a happy Easter. At age four, Jack Ryan asked his mom if they could help the Easter Bunny and they made and donated eight baskets that first year. This year the project, called “Operation Jack Rabbit,” is providing 850 Easter baskets for families who are struggling. Source: Turn To 10
