Today’s Good News: Stray Dog Steals Unicorn And Hearts



A Dollar General Store in Kenansville, North Carolina, called animal control to report an unusual thief. Sisu, a stray dog, kept coming in to steal the same purple unicorn stuffed animal. An officer bought the toy for Sisu and took them both to the shelter, where they were adopted a day later. Source: CNN

An 11-year-old kid in Colorado wanted to do something nice for supermarket workers after the shooting in a grocery store in Boulder. So JJ Witmer and his mom handed out flowers to employees on the job in grocery stores. “I just knew that they were going to be a little bit scared to go to work that day,” he explains, adding that “flowers make people happy and smile.” Source: CBS News



Volunteers with Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful removed nearly eight tons of trash in two days. Crews were hard at work cleaning up the river’s reservoirs, Watts Bar and Fort Loudon lakes. A Florida high school student saved a baby’s life using CPR skills he learned at school. Savion Harris rushed to help the six-month-old son of the owners of the Thai restaurant where he works and started chest compressions while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. A Goodwill employee in Oklahoma has been rewarded for returning a huge stack of cash that was accidentally donated with some old clothes. Andrea Lessing found $42-thousand while sorting through donations and she reported it. Goodwill officials were able to track down the owner, who was so grateful, they awarded her $1,000 for her integrity. Source: Fox News
