J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars Episode VII Tease

A new tease from Episode VII director J.J. Abrams features the Millennium Falcon and Batmobile.

Abrams’ clip, shot on his U.K. set, gives fans their closest look yet at Solo’s ship, the painstaking detail on it more evidence of his pledge to return to the Star Wars saga’s roots with physical, non-pc-generated sets. In the clip, just as the camera zooms in on a detail of Batman’s Tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, painted into the ship.

Quick note, Abrams has hidden similar Easter eggs in other movies. Abrams smuggled R2-D2 into both his 2009 Star Trek and its 2013 sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness.

Star Wars: Episode VII is slated for a Dec. 18, 2015 release, while Batman v. Superman swings into theaters March 25, 2016.

No Matthew McConaughey for Magic Mike Sequel

According to Magic Mike XXL director Gregory Jacobs, Matthew McConaughey won’t be reprising his role the upcoming sequel.

Jacobs didn’t say why McConaughey isn’t coming back when asked, only to say the film would be very different.

“It’s road trip movie, and put it this way: it’s different enough that once you see it, you’ll understand why we made a sequel,” Jacobs said. “No one will be accusing us of making the same movie twice.”

He truly means is, because Jacobs said he plans to hire a whole new cast.

We’ll all just have to wait and see when Magic Mike XXL drops into theaters July 1, 2015.

Neil Patrick Harris Dishes About His Wedding

NPH stopped by The View this week to spill it all about his Italian wedding to David Burtka earlier in the month.

“We’ve been together over 10 years and I think when our kids got to the age they were having reasonable conversations, when they are asking lots of why questions, to have a clear-cut explanation of who their daddy is, I think is great,” Harris said of why he tied the knot. “He’s my husband and it was easier than partner or boyfriend or something like that.”

Neil Patrick said only about 45 people were at the wedding and “I just wanted to be able to say nice things about David, to David, in front of the people that matter the most to us. It was less about a proclamation and more of a declaration.”

“It was so crazy, because when you watch other people say their vows and get all chocked up, you say ‘Come on! Pull it together man,’” Harris added. “Then when you are standing there and it’s you and you have this piece of paper in your hand and it’s shaking … you can’t help but just get super-duper choked up.”

To top things off, Elton John performed at the rented castle ceremony.
